The Asia Pacific Natural Gas Vehicles Association (ANGVA) was established in 2002 and is a trade association for the natural gas vehicles industry in the Asia Pacific region. The German Biogas Association unites operators, manufacturers and planners of biogas plants, representatives from science and research and all those interested in the industry. Since its establishment in 1992, the association, which has more than 4,700 members, has become Europe’s most powerful organisation in the field of biogas. In addition to its headquarters in Freising, it has an office in the capital, Berlin, as well as four regional offices throughout Germany. The German Biogas Association currently employs a total of 30 permanent members of staff.

The German Biogas Association campaigns for the increased use of biogas technology through political lobbying at EU, national and state level. Furthermore, it encourages the exchange of biogas-related information and knowledge, for instance through collecting, evaluating and spreading knowledge of scientific findings and practical experience, or by means of conferences, exhibitions and other events. The German Biogas Association is hosting the annual Biogas Convention & Trade Fair. With more than 7,000 visitors it has become the most important meeting place for biogas industry stakeholders from Germany and across the globe. As a consequence of both participation in EU projects and membership of the European Biogas Association (EBA), the German Biogas Association actively promotes and instigates international experience exchange.

The Indian Biogas Association is the first nationwide and professional biogas association for operators, manufacturers and planners of biogas plants, and representatives from science and research. The association was established in 2011 to promote a greener future through biogas. The motto of the association is “propagating biogas in a sustainable way”. The Indian Biogas Association has members from the different biogas related fields to promote biogas in politics, public and science. The main objects to be pursued by the Indian Biogas Association are promotion of technical developments, promotion, evaluation and communication of research findings and practical experiences from the field of biogas technology for the benefit of the public and the environment, and to provide training for research and development growth. We are even involved in issuing publications along with exchanges of experience through participation and implementation of exhibitions, conferences and other events. The Singapore Biogas Association (SBA) is set up to marshal Singapore companies involved in the biogas value chain, to connect them to opportunities available both within Singapore and beyond. As the central point of contact between the relevant groups, we hope to ease dealings between them, facilitating a comfortable environment for negotiations. The SBA wants to ensure that we can promote the benefits of biogas, and will work with government, NGOs, media, professional bodies, the public and our members to promote and develop biogas technology for application around the world. SBA aims to become the main point of contact for all Singapore companies interested in any form of Biogas related issues in the region.
